The Washington, DC Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (DCNOMA) cordially invites you to the 6th Annual Lankford-Giles-Vaughn Minority Architect Awards as we honor five individuals in the fields of architecture, development, scholastic excellence, architectural education, and community service. This celebratory event will take place on Tuesday, August 27th at the national headquarters of the American Institute of Architects. The Lankford-Giles-Vaughn Minority Architect Awards contributions funds DCNOMA initiatives such as the DCNOMA Scholarship Program (a three-tiered scholarship targeting incoming college freshmen, matriculating students, and recent graduates of accredited architecture programs) and DCNOMA’s day camp program (The East of the River Career Exposure Camp, a program to expose children from Wards 7 & 8 to unique careers focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics).   In past years the awards program  has  assisted the African American Civil War Museum, Jan’s Tutoring House in Southeast DC, and funded the completion of the documentary “Master Builders in the Nation’s Capitol”.  Your support will have a significant impact on many future architects and allied professionals who have the potential to become powerful leaders if given the opportunity to be mentored in an organization such as DCNOMA. We look forward to seeing you there! dcnoma-lgv6.eventbrite.com   DC|NOMA
