Shantel Parker, NOMA Meshella Johnson, NOMA,
Click here for a copy of our year in review. At DCNOMA, the Executive Board believes 2007 defines a benchmark. First, we want to continue to actively engage all our stakeholders, improve public relations, and continue to show respect for the diverse cultures we represent by honoring their design achievements. To do this requires we meet our second goal, mainly transparency to the architecture community about our agenda, operations, and interests. You will find in the annual report how we have accomplished many of our initiatives thus far. Our greatest feat by far was engaging such a diverse strata of designers without affecting our annual budget. Nonetheless, we must continue to receive your tax-deductible financial support to be affective! We thank our members, affiliates, sponsors, allied professionals, and architects who have shown DCNOMA support over the past year by attending our meetings and representing the organization at community events. Special thanks to Gensler DC for opening their design culture and sharing sensitivity toward ‘turnkey’ projects with DCNOMA. As we move onward to greater achievements, remain assured that the vision for DCNOMA is rooted in the advancement of architecture as an anecdote for healing the human spirit, communities, and repair the environment, while refining engineering technology. This year, we focus on planning for the 2008 NOMA National Conference and Expo at the Hyatt Capital Hill, Washington DC. There has never been a better time to collaborate with DCNOMA! We look forward to embracing an international audience of practitioners, educators, critics, preservationists, tradesmen and women, engineers, authors, and developers alike, who share a common thread. This intricate thread, ultimately, assists design professionals, such as you, to leave a print on the built environment! Together we can make a difference. Welcome aboard! DCNOMA Executive Board |
